Irving Berlin's White Christmas Jigsaw Puzzle

Here's a totally fun Christmas-themed jigsaw puzzle featuring a scene from Irving Berlin's classic movie, White Christmas. 

It is a 500-piece puzzle by USAopoly that measures 19 inches by 19 inches when complete that comes packed in an attractive tin container, making it an extra nice gift for a fan of this specific movie and Christmas in general.

Simplify Christmas With A Christmas Plan!

One of the easiest ways to simplify Christmas has to be to start right now and to organize, organize, organize. It is NEVER too early. If you take a just a little bit of time right now to start planning for the holidays, you will reduce the stress and enjoy a wonderfully smooth and relaxed holiday season.

What you need is a plan and there are a number of ways to find a plan. For years, I have prepared for the holidays armed with a Christmas planner and I have found a couple of excellent planners for you that will not break your budget. As a matter of fact, it is hard to believe how inexpensive they are.

The first one is a ring-bound book called Simplify Your Holidays: A Christmas Planner to Use Year after Year by Marcia Ramsland. It is a 2008 book that is likely out of print but, in any case, is available very affordably on Amazon. At under $10, the price is pretty impressive but the contents of this book sound impressive, too. It is packed with information to help you with all of your holiday planning including gift buying, wrapping and mailing; organizing your Christmas cards; planning your home decorations; and preparing for holiday baking and meals. It promises to break the tasks down into pieces so you can work at them over time.

The book that I own is a slightly older one from Reader's Digest that was written by Allana Baroni and Voclo Webster. It is a book from the Simpler Life series called Simplify the Holidays: How to Enjoy the Holidays Without the Stress and promises to help with the same areas as the first book. It is packed with text including tips, hints and lists. It, too, is affordably priced at around $15 for a new copy or less than $10 for a used one.

The Grinch Olympic Figure Skating Commercial (2018)

I loved this commercial when I first saw it in 2018 featuring as it does the individual who is arguably the world's most famous Christmas character, The Grinch.

This version of the classic Grinch story is from the film that featured Illumination's computer-animation and the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch. This commercial was creative enough to add in figure skating and the PyeongChang Olympics. In this short T.V. spot, we find The Grinch playing, of course, the starring role and imagining what it would be like to win a gold medal on the ice.

Who did win gold in the 2018 Olympics? The Men's gold medal went home with Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu, the Ladies' Singles medal went home with Russia's Alina Zagitova, the Pair Skating medal went home with Germany's Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot, the Ice Dance medal went home with Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir and finally, the Team medal went home with Canada's team.

The commercial is not clear how The Grinch placed but he certainly was and is a crowd favorite. He is proof that Everyone Can Dream!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas Two-Disc Deluxe Edition Gift Set with Snow Globe

As a snow globe collector and a BIG Christmas fan, I was thrilled when I accidentally stumbled across this How The Grinch Stole Christmas snow globe.  I think it would make an amazing gift for anyone who loves Christmas, snow globes and Dr. Seuss.

The snow globe IS cute. It is not huge but, at about four inches wide by four inches high, it is not tiny either and those measurements make it about the size of a tennis ball.

Did I mention that the snow globe comes with a copy of the movie on DVD?  This is the Jim Carrey version of the movie, so if you do not already own it, it is a chance to add this classic to your movie collection with the bonus of a collectible snow globe. It would make a wonderful gift set, too.

Please note that this set is now hard to find. You can look for it here on Amazon and, of course, you could try eBay. However, I did try with no luck. I had better luck on eBay by clicking here to find a Grinch-themed snow globe that is separate from the DVD.

Hallmark's Keepsake Berry Sweet Bear Christmas Ornament (2010)

Introducing A Berry Sweet Bear Hallmark Ornament

Let me introduce you to Hallmark Keepsake's Berry Sweet Bear Christmas Ornament. This bear was created by Sue Tague and was part of Hallmark's 2010 Christmas ornament collection. This cute little guy was issued in two colors known as "Chocolate" and "Vanilla."

The Chocolate Berry Sweet Bear was a contest prize during the 2010 ornament launch. Apparently, every store received one of the brown-colored bears to give away as a prize. That makes this bear a hard-to-find and sought after collector's item with only approximately 3,500 of them having been produced and put into circulation.

Hallmark calls The Vanilla Berry Sweet Bear (not shown here) a 'repaint' or 'colorway' of the first, the Chocolate bear. It was also be a contest prize and was given away in limited numbers during the Hallmark Artists On Tour signing events that year. The signing events took place in a number of U.S. locations over a period of approximately two months.

This ornament, which was released in 2010, has been retired. You can still occasionally find it on eBay by clicking right here.
